The idea came when we took our family a couple of years ago to see Lion King

at the Lyceum Theatre in London and our children Isabella & Lilianna aged 7 & 5

could not see the stage very well because of the adults sitting in front of them.

We asked the helpful theatre staff if they had any cushions but were told that they

only had a few old ones and they had been given out so we had to fold our coats

so the girls could at least have a little boost in height.

We decided to design and develop a simple, comfortable and practical inflatable

booster cushion so that it could flat pack for easy storage and yet be strong and

comfortable when used. Most theatres we thought have a real issue with storage

space so the design had to be simple and easily condensible.

Over the course of a year we sent out many samples of Boosterz™ and emails to

West End theatres and prominent theatre groups, but the interest was pretty low

key and we almost gave up. In October 2010 we received an unexpected boost a

phone call from a new theatre that had opened in Aylesbury and they wanted 500

booster cushions for their Christmas pantomime season which we fulfilled and they

were very pleased.

Having been re inspired by this order we persevered in our crusade to promote our

cushions in the belief that they will be taken up one day by a London West End theatre.

After many more emails and re contacting of various theatre managers we were asked

for a sample by The Really Useful Company headed by Lord Andrew Lloyd Webber.

They were looking at these Boosterz™ cushions for their new productions the Wizard of Oz

and SHREK as value added service to their younger guests.

After testing they placed a substantial order and we rushed this through in time for the launch

of these shows. The feedback has been very positive and we are presently discussing a further

substantial order.

We are currently supplying a number of theatres throughout the United Kingdom in a variety

of quantities to suit the size of their theatre. We are also in discussions with other top West End

theatres as they hear that the feedback is very positive from both parents and children.

We welcome more enquiries from theatres and the general public. Our cushions can also be

used in restaurants and cinemas.

can only be positive.
